The West Bend Theatre Company and The Bend, West Bend’s downtown performance venue, has partnered this holiday season on a fundraising campaign. The proceeds will go toward the purchase of a new lighting control board for The Bend.

With every show by the West Bend Theatre Company, it partners with a local non-profit to help address a need in the community. In the past, West Bend Theatre Company has raised more than $15,000 for The Food Pantry, area veterans, West Bend High School Choir, the United Way of Washington County and more, as well as scholarships for local aspiring actors and actresses.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, West Bend Theatre Company is unable to perform the annual tradition of "A Christmas Carol." However, it wants to keep one tradition going: giving back to the community.

“We invested so much in our cinema and concert technology, but we didn’t get everything we needed for theatrical performances,” said Jeff Potts, executive director at The Bend. “This extra piece of equipment will help take those events to the next level.”

To help start this effort, the West Bend Theatre Company will donate $500 toward the campaign.
